Foncello Endorsed by Connecticut Realtors® for Reelection
Brookfield, Conn. – Connecticut’s largest professional trade Association has endorsed State Rep. Martin Foncello’s reelection in the 107th District, representing Brookfield, Bethel, and Newtown.
In its endorsement of Foncello on Monday, CT Realtors® wrote, “the Association carefully evaluates candidates in determining who may best ensure a positive environment for living in or transferring property in Connecticut. Real estate is essential to economic stability in our state and helps to build communities.”
The organization represents nearly 19,000 members involved in all aspects of real estate in Connecticut. They promote and advocate ownership of real estate in Connecticut to make it a better place to live, work and play.
“I will continue to oppose a statewide property tax because our residents already pay enough in taxes. I also will fight any new conveyance fee, which would be an added burden for realtors to overcome when trying to do their jobs,” said Foncello. “That type of mandate would hurt buyers in a competitive market and stall commercial development as empty storefronts go unfilled.”
Foncello, of Brookfield, is a member of the committees on Appropriations, Aging, and Education.
